22 Jul Supporting Carmeuse in receiving End of Waste
In 2021, RDC Environment supported Carmeuse, global leader in the extractive sector and the production of lime, to receive End of Waste recognition as part of a waste recovery project in Wallonie.
From strategy definition to filing an official request
The support provided by our teams began with an analysis of the applicable regulations and support to define the strategy adapted to Carmeuse’s industrial project(strengths and weaknesses of the various options).
Then, RDC Environment assisted Carmeuse in the preparation of an application file to recognise end of waste for its recovered product in Wallonia by putting forward arguments demonstrating the compliance of the recovery project with regulatory conditions. In this context, RDC Environment participated with the client in exchanges with the administration, which made it possible to clarify or amend the file according to the expectations of the public authorities.
The first recognition decision in Wallonia
In 2022, the company Carmeuse was granted the first official decision recognising end of waste in the Walloon Region.
The waste recovery project in Wallonia has now started!
“RDC Environment has demonstrated a real mastery of the subject matter (both technically and legally and administratively). RDC has proven skills in terms of project management (proactivity, management of deadlines, use of office automation tools) which enabled it to play a key role in the progress of our file. ” Guillaume Burton, Carmeuse
