11 Oct Setting up a repair observatory in Wallonia – SPW
RDC Environment, in collaboration with Espace Environnement, has accompanied the Walloon Region in the framework of the support to the repair industry in Wallonia.
Repair is one of the pillars on which the circular economy is based, since it contributes to the reduction of resource consumption and waste production, through lifetime extension.
Objectives of the study
It is within this context that the Walloon Region wishes to support the development of the repair industry on the territory. RDC Environment, in collaboration with Espace Environnement, has accompanied the Walloon Region on this project.
This study was divided into three phases:
- – Elaboration of a state of affairs of the repair industry in Wallonia;
- Analysis of the success factors and obstacles to the development of the repair industry in Wallonia, and recommendations about how to promote it;
- Preparation of the implementation of a repair observatory (development of monitoring indicators, of calculation frameworks, and indicator management).
